Origo launches ‘Origo Connect’ competition on Twitter and LinkedIn
Fintech company Origo is launching ‘Origo Connect’ a competition for platforms, providers and adviser back-office system suppliers, to highlight its integration platform, Integration Hub.
On 1 February 2017, Origo will be tweeting a puzzle inspired by BBC Two’s Only Connect game show, designed to test people’s ability to make connections.
Entrants simply reply to @Origo_Services with their answers and include #OrigoConnect in the tweet or reply. If all four answers are correct, they will be entered into the prize draw. Direct Messages will also be accepted as entries*.
Up for grabs are a number of Origo prizes – details of which will be announced on the day.
Paul Pettitt, managing director of Origo, says: “Our last Twitter campaign, highlighting the benefits of the pensions dashboard, demonstrated a prototype of a dashboard data feed engine we had developed, which proved extremely successful.
“This time we are introducing some fun with the competition – as well as expanding onto LinkedIn – with the aim of spotlighting how the industry and consumers can benefit from the connectivity offered by the Integration Hub.
“Currently, if a platform wants to link to an adviser back-office system (or vice versa) then invariably, it has to do so by carrying out an individual integration. This is repeated for each and every connection.
“More importantly, there is an increasing demand by consumers for greater access to their information, wherever and whenever they wish. This is adding additional pressure to ensuring that platforms and advisers enable this access for their clients – in a manner that is quick, cost-effective and secure.
“It seemed sensible, therefore, for us to build an integration hub where each platform, provider, back-office system had only to connect once, to enable them to link to any other user of the Hub, with the ability to securely pass data such as real-time valuations between them.
“Origo is not-for-profit and has decades of experience of bringing the industry together to work collaboratively on projects to benefit the industry as a whole. With this service we worked with a cross section of the industry’s platforms, providers, advisers and software suppliers to ensure that the Hub delivers what they want and need.
“In short, Origo’s Integration Hub makes complex, bespoke peer-to-peer and cumbersome integrations a thing of the past and that has got to be good for the industry.
“Four companies are now live on the Hub – JCS, MetLife, LV= and Time4Advice – with more in the pipeline.”
* Entries will be accepted between 1st February and 12 midday 3rd February 2017 and the winners will be announced from 3pm on 3rd February 2017.
